Whitsunday Dive Club

Too many people live in this beautiful area without taking the time to enjoy it. Whitsunday dive club is set up to give locals an excuse and the opportunity to take advantage of the Great Barrier Reef.

Our aim is to encourage locals to learn to dive with us and to enjoy the social aspects of the club. If you are a new diver, dive courses will be organised to suit your own schedule that will total 3 days. Courses start Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

For those of you who are already certified SCUBA divers, we also offer refresher courses together with Advanced and Rescue courses for these divers wishing to continue their diving education.

What if I can't dive?

If you can't dive for medical reasons you can still be involved - everyone is made welcome. A large part of the club involves teaching people about the reef and many of the places we dive are terrific snorkeling sites as well.

What about the kids?

The minimum age for learning to dive is 12 years old. However, very soon we will be introducing our SCUBA Ranger program for kids aged between 8-12. Kids younger than eight are more than welcome - they'll be turned into snorkeling gurus!

I'm excited! How do I join?

It is proposed that once a month a social get-together will occur pool-side at Shingley Beach resort.

For more information on how to join, please call our Whitsunday dive office on 07 4946 4766 or email us on info@reefsafari.com. Regular newsletters are sent out to inform members of social events, dive courses and excursions.

Tell your friends

Of course you have friends, everyone has them! One of the best things about SCUBA diving is sharing the experience with a friend (or buddy as we divers call them). Pull your friends off the couch and get them into the water this weekend!
