We can give you a very easy introduction to scuba diving in the pool! The pool is one of the easiest ways to give SCUBA diving a go before venturing out in to the exciting world beneath the ocean's surface.
Our Instructors will get you comfortable and show you how easy it really is to breath underwater. Then, once you've discovered how easy scuba diving is (even for those who can't swim) we can take you straight out to the reef and show you one of the most amazing places on the planet!
Our learning to dive on Magnetic Island is about as stress free as it gets. With an open air classroom, a pool and dive sites all within 100 metres it all makes for a very relaxed time.
The first 2 days of the course will be spent in the classroom overlooking the beach and the pool. Here you will learn the important theoretical knowledge and the practical skills to make you a confident and competent diver.
The third and fourth days will involve making 6 open water dives, two more than the minimum required, right from the beach. All of this will lead to attaining your internationally recognised certificate.
Once you've completed your Open Water Course or Advanced there's only one thing left to do... sit around telling war stories about how big the shark was you narrowly avoided!
No. Wait. That's not right. Oh yes what you should really do is Just Keep Diving!
Go for a cruisy dive and then kick back by the pool or take your position in the bar. Nothing is as sexy as a scuba diver with a story to tell :)
With both day and night dives available or even a day out to the S.S. Yongala we can see that your holiday is complete with excellent diving.
Our two day course takes you further in diving. We'll give you a sample of 5 specialities including options like Navigation, Deep, Wreck, Night & more.
Your first day will be comprised of two dives during the day and then a fantastic night dive off the beach at Base Backpackers.
The following day it's up early and off with Adrenalin Dive out to one of the worlds best dive sites, the S.S. Yongala
