Beyond the Whitsunday islands lies the outer Great Barrier Reef - famous for spectacular snorkelling and scuba diving. One of the best ways to visit the reef is aboard Cruise Whitsundays Seaflight. Permanently moored at knuckle reef lagoon, Cruise Whitsundays pontoon is the newest and most innovative design. The pontoon features undercover seating and tables, sun decks for topping up the tan, freshwater showers, change rooms and you’ll have full access to the air-conditioned comfort of ‘Seaflight’ alongside the pontoon. It features Queensland’s largest and most spectacular underwater viewing chamber and an awesome waterslide - the only one on the Great Barrier Reef.
Located inside Knuckle Reef Lagoon, the pontoon is ideally situated in shallower waters with protection from the surrounding sea conditions. Protected as it is, it has its own ecosystem with magnificent corals and a diversity of marine life not found in open areas. It provides a unique world for you to explore - be it by semi-submersible, glass bottom boat, snorkelling or diving.
Getting there is half the fun on board ‘Seaflight’ a 37m wavepiercer ideally suited to outer reef cruising with its superior sea handling. It is the largest and most comfortable vessel in the Whitsundays and the only one fitted with computerised stabilisers. It has spacious air-conditioned lounges, large out viewing decks and two bars on board serving refreshments.

We specialise in introducing first timers to the wonders of the underwater world – even if they’re nervous. The dive can be hand-held if you prefer – or offer you the freedom to swim alongside the group if you’re feeling more adventurous. The depth will vary from 1 metre to 12 metres, depending entirely on your comfort level.
The Knuckle Reef pontoon has been designed with first-time divers in mind, with a swimming pool-like area to start the dive. Here you can stand up in waist-deep water and get used to breathing underwater before embarking on your reef adventure!

A terrific dive for new and experienced divers alike
Luxury treatment is what you'll get aboard the good ship Seaflight and out at the Knuckle Reef Pontoon.
Knuckle Reef is a beautiful reef with an abundance of pristine corals. Our experienced Dive Masters will guide you in a small group of no more than 4-5 divers around some of our favourite parts of the reef.
While you're there you'll have time to do two dives so even if you go for a day trip with family the diving isn't going to interrupt your day out.
Our focus as a company is always on nice slow dives with lots of interpretation of marine life. We think even the most knowledgeable diver will learn something. Hey, if we're lucky maybe you'll teach us something too!
Our Advanced Adventurer course is for anyone who has completed an Open Water Course and would like to get a sample of the many exciting specialities available.
Our course consists of 5 dives in specialities such as Navigation, Deep, Perfect Buoyancy, Naturalist & Boat Diving.
Course duration is two days and upon completion you will not only have a greater range of diving experience but you will also be certified to dive to 30m.
Discover the reef and its wonders by getting up close and personal. We take small groups (of up to five people) and show them our favourite parts of Knuckle Reef.
During the 30 minute "Snorkel Safari" you'll learn how the reef was formed, how coral feeds, grows and breeds as well as seeing some very special inhabitants - from parrotfish to magnificent anemones, cleaner wrasse and of course, anemonefish (nemo!).
If you're new to snorkelling, then a snorkel safari is also a terrific way to ease a few of those first-time nerves. Our guide will be in the water with you the whole time, holding your hand if need be. On the other hand, if you're a confident snorkeller, then you'll find that the more you learn about the reef, the more fascinating everything you see becomes.
